Days of exhibition

Curator Rudy Chiappini presents a survey of the main periods in Modigliani’s short yet fruitful career. Thirty works by the artist, on loan by major museums (including the Musée de l'Orangerie and the Musée National Picasso in Paris, the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp, the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, the Pinacoteca in Brera), will be shown alongside equally many drawings to show his creative process. The exhibition also addresses the special atmosphere of early 20th-century Paris, an exciting time where dealers, patrons, writers, intellectuals and artists lived side-by-side and influenced each other.
