The world class collection of the Corsini princes will travel the world for the first time. Nearly 100 pieces including exceptional paintings and everyday objects such as bronze kitchenware drawn from the Galleria di Palazzo Corsini in Florence will tell the story of this exceptional family. Their collection includes masterpieces by Botticelli, Caravaggio, Pontormo, Tintoretto, Guercino and more -- testifying to the importance of the family, which up to the 17th century was second only to the Medici. The collection was saved from the Nazi advance and the flood of the river Arno by the efforts of the family’s women in the 20th century, to whom visitors owe the unique opportunity to see these works today.
